I have had an ongoing Christmas project with my friend’s children that I have written a book about called “Not your Grandmother’s Gingerbread”. This book shows the projects complete with instruction and patterns. Of course one of the first things that people think about when undertaking a gingerbread project is memories of previous failures. I think that the whole idea behind a project like this should be fun, fun, fun and success. So with this in mind the designs have to fulfill that criterion. It is also important to note that there is no right or wrong way to decorate. Matter of fact, the more hands on the candy layers the better because in the end it all comes together as one.
